Kyrgyzstan Seeks Satellite Support from Azerbaijan’s Azercosmos

Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, visited Azerbaijan's Space Agency, Azercosmos, during his working trip to the country.

During the meeting with Dunay Badirkhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation in space technologies, satellite communications, and digital solutions, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

The Kyrgyz delegation expressed interest in using Azerbaijani satellites for various purposes, including communication, agricultural monitoring, environmental control, and emergency warning systems. They noted that access to modern satellite data could significantly enhance public administration and the implementation of key socio-economic projects.

The Azerbaijani side presented the technical capabilities of its satellite systems, highlighting data transmission capacities, high-precision territorial monitoring, and the provision of comprehensive digital services for both state institutions and the private sector.

Following the visit, the parties agreed to continue consultations and develop specific projects to introduce satellite services and technologies in key sectors for Kyrgyzstan.
