French President Emmanuel Macron has thanked Türkiye for its assistance in battling large-scale wildfires in France.
“Thank you, Türkiye!” Macron wrote, reposting a message from Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı about Ankara’s support, The Caspian Post reports via Macron's message on X.

Yumaklı said that Türkiye has sent two firefighting aircraft to France following Spain’s deployment of aircraft to help tackle the spreading forest fires.
The Turkish minister said Ankara continues to support European countries in responding to the devastating effects of large-scale wildfires.
Türkiye’s assistance comes as France and other parts of Europe face heightened wildfire risks during the summer, with firefighting resources being deployed across borders to help contain major blazes.
