Massive Explosion Rocks Oil Depot in Russia After Drone Strike – VIDEO/PHOTO

A reported drone strike by Ukrainian forces hit an oil depot in Labinsk, Russia, on March 16 triggering a massive blaze.

Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed to have shot down 28 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory on March 15. Local authorities have yet to issue an official statement, and the attack could not be independently verified, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

Labinsk is located about 345 km southeast of occupied Crimea and roughly 500 km from Ukrainian-controlled areas near Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia.

The strike is part of a series of Ukrainian attacks on Russian military-related infrastructure, including:

March 15: Tikhoretsk oil pumping station reportedly hit.

March 14: Afipsky Oil Refinery targeted, sparking a large fire.

Port Kavkaz facility attacked, causing injuries and vessel damage.

Ukraine considers oil facilities linked to military supply legitimate targets, aiming to weaken Russia’s war effort.
