Missile, Drone Strikes Trigger Explosions in Western Ukraine

Explosions have been reported in western Ukraine as Russian forces launched missile and drone attacks across multiple regions.

In Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, blasts were heard near a major thermal power plant, a potential target after Ukraine’s Air Force warned of incoming cruise missiles, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

The city of Vinnytsia also came under attack, with officials reporting high-speed aerial targets moving toward the area. Authorities indicated a critical infrastructure facility was struck, though no casualties were reported.

Law enforcement recently detained a minor suspected of acting as a Russian agent, allegedly preparing an attack on the Burshtyn power plant.

Over February 6-7, attacks intensified across western Ukraine, including drone activity in Volyn region, reflecting continued Russian focus on energy and infrastructure targets.
