Russia Declares Ceasefire with Ukraine Until May 10

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian side will observe a ceasefire with Ukraine from 12:00 a.m. Moscow time on May 8 (9:00 p.m. GMT on May 7) until May 10 in connection with the 81st anniversary of the Soviet people’s victory in the Great Patriotic War, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.

“In line with the decision of the President of the Russian Federation and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Russian side is declaring a ceasefire from 00:00 on May 8 until May 10 during the commemorative events marking the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War,” the ministry said in an official statement.
