Russia’s Ministry of Defence said its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 175 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight across several regions of the country.
In a statement, the ministry said the drones were shot down between 8:00 p.m. on June 26 and 8:00 a.m. on June 27, The Caspian Post reports.
It said the UAVs were destroyed over the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Smolensk and Tula, as well as the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory and the Black Sea.
The statement did not provide details on whether there were any casualties or damage reported on the ground.
