A civilian vessel flying the Lebanese flag has been damaged during a Russian strike on the port of Odesa.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba confirmed that the ship was carrying Ukrainian soybeans at the time of the attack, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
“Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Kuleba wrote on Telegram.
Ukraine’s Sea Ports Authority also reported damage at the port of Reni, where administrative buildings and port infrastructure were hit. Emergency and port services have been fully mobilized to deal with the aftermath of the strikes.
Authorities said response and recovery efforts are ongoing as port operations continue under heightened security conditions.
