The number of people injured in an attack at a school in Manisa, Türkiye, has risen to 11, with the incident reportedly carried out by a 15-year-old pupil.

Two of those injured are in critical condition, according to rbc.

The suspect’s parents and grandfather have been detained. The weapon used in the attack reportedly belonged to the grandfather.

Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz said the ministers of National Education and Interior are heading to the scene.

Police have launched both judicial and administrative investigations into the incident.
