Two Die in Freight Train-Car Collision in Russia’s Altai

A freight train has collided with a car in Russia’s Altai territory, leaving two people dead.

The Transport Department of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Siberian Federal District confirmed the incident, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

The crash occurred around 11:40 a.m. (GMT+3) at a railway crossing near Lugovskoye station, involving a Honda Fit. The 74-year-old driver and 72-year-old passenger died from their injuries.

Police are working at the scene, and further details of the accident are being clarified.
