Drone Strike Hits Residential Building in Ukraine's Okhtyrka

Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Okhtyrka, hitting a nine-story residential building and sparking a major fire.

The strike damaged apartments between the 2nd and 5th floors, The Caspian Post reports, citing Ukrainian media.

Rescue efforts:

35 residents evacuated

7 injured, including a child, hospitalized

Emergency crews briefly paused operations due to the risk of further strikes but later extinguished all remaining fire hotspots. Work continues clearing debris and assess structural damage.

Regional officials also reported attacks on energy infrastructure, leaving parts of Sumy without electricity and water. Authorities are verifying the full number of injured and providing support to affected families.
