Ukraine has carried out a new attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline, targeting a section in Russia’s Tambov region with explosives and flammable materials.
The pipeline, one of the world’s largest, transports up to 2 million barrels of Russian crude daily to Europe and remains vital for Hungary and Slovakia, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

Kyiv says strikes aim to disrupt Russia’s military funding, while Budapest and Bratislava have urged Ukraine to avoid hitting infrastructure that supplies their countries. This comes after earlier attacks in August temporarily disrupted operations. President Zelenskyy insists Ukraine will continue retaliatory actions in response to Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities, even as the EU phases out Russian oil.
