Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in New York to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his visit, Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump, European leaders, members of the US House of Representatives, heads of international organizations and executives of major American companies. Around 20 meetings are planned to be held, according to Obozrevatel.com.

A new Drone Deal between Ukraine and its partners has also been prepared for signing during the visit.

Zelenskyy said that Ukraine’s main priority remains bringing peace closer and protecting the lives of its people. He also said Kyiv is preparing concrete security and de-escalation proposals and will work with partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses and secure funding.

The planned meeting with Trump is expected to focus on efforts to end the war, including possible de-escalation measures and security issues. The two presidents had agreed earlier to meet in New York during the UN General Assembly.

Zelenskyy’s New York agenda also includes discussions with European partners, US lawmakers and business leaders, as well as participation in the International Crimea Platform summit.
