US Department of State Urges Americans to Leave Middle East Immediately

The US Department of State has issued an urgent security alert.

It is calling on American citizens to leave several Middle Eastern countries without delay as regional tensions continue to escalate, The Caspian Post reports via Assistant Secretary's message on X.

The advisory applies to Americans currently in:

Bahrain,

Egypt,

Iran,

Iraq,

Israel,

the West Bank and Gaza,

Jordan,

Kuwait,

Lebanon,

Oman,

Qatar,

Saudi Arabia,

Syria,

United Arab Emirates, and

Yemen

The Department of State strongly advised Americans to “depart immediately” using available commercial flights due to serious and growing security risks linked to ongoing conflicts in the region.

Officials warned that safe exit options could become limited at short notice. Delaying departure may significantly reduce evacuation possibilities if the situation deteriorates further.

US citizens are advised to:

Closely monitor official updates

Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)

Maintain contact with the nearest US embassy or consulate.
