An Azerbaijani wrestler delivered an exceptional performance at the 28th International U17 Victory Cup and U20 Champions tournament in Antalya, Türkiye, earning a total of 13 medals, teh Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

On the final day of the tournament, four Azerbaijani wrestlers reached the podium. In freestyle, Bashir Verdiyev (65kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125kg) clinched silver, while Mukhamad Gantemirov (125kg) grabbed bronze. In Greco-Roman, Tural Ahmadov (63kg) achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the champion. Azerbaijan’s freestyle team finished 3rd overall with 119 points.

As a whole, Azerbaijan recorded a haul of three gold, four silver and six bronze medals after three days of competition.
