Tajikistan's First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ashurboy Solehzoda held talks with the Director of ADB’s Public Sector Management and Governance Sector Office Cigdem Akin in Dushanbe.
During the meeting, the priority directions of implementation of the principles of “green” economy in the spheres of agriculture, energy, economy and e-commerce were discussed, The Caspian Post reports, citing Tajik media.
It was noted that the Strategy for Development of Green Economy for 2023-2037 is being implemented. At the first stage, in 2025, the Action Plan for the development of this economy will be realized.
The key source of support for the strategy is financial institutions and development partners, including the Asian Development Bank. Cooperation with these partners plays an important role in the implementation of the strategy, and the preparation of the Action Plan for the second phase (2026-2028), aimed at attracting foreign investment, has already begun.
Priority areas for implementation of the green economy, including agriculture, energy, e-commerce and other sectors were discussed.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation and take concrete measures to implement the strategy within the identified areas.
