China Urges Evacuation After Attack Near Tajik–Afghan Border

The Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan has issued an urgent call for Chinese enterprises and citizens to leave areas along the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border, after an armed attack in Darvoz District left Chinese nationals injured.

The incident occurred on November 30 night in Gorno-Badakhshan, prompting heightened security alerts, The Caspian Post reports via Chinese media.

The embassy urged all Chinese citizens in Tajikistan to avoid traveling to border regions and take strict safety precautions. In emergencies, they are advised to contact local police and the Chinese Embassy immediately.

Following the attack, Chinese Ambassador Guo Zhijun held urgent talks with Tajik officials. The Tajik side condemned the attack and pledged to strengthen security measures to protect Chinese enterprises and citizens in the country.
