Saudi Forum Explores Funding for Tajikistan’s Rogun HPP

Financing for Tajikistan’s Rogun Hydropower Plant (HPP) has been discussed during a forum in Saudi Arabia, featuring the Islamic Development Bank and development funds from Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the OPEC organization.

Tajik Minister Faiziddin Qahhorzoda met with Abdulla Almansoori, Regional Manager at Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, who expressed the fund’s readiness to finance the continuation of construction at the Rogun HPP, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

The exact amount of potential funding has not been disclosed yet.
