Entrepreneurs from Tajikistan’s Sughd Region are set to deliver over 1,000 tons of agricultural products to Kazakhstan’s Astana, including the region’s renowned fruits, dried fruits, nuts, vegetables, and melons.
The two-day fair, highlighting Sughd’s agricultural produce and traditional handicrafts, will take place in Kazakhstan’s capital on August 16-17, The Caspian Post reports per Tajik media.
Astana city authorities say visitors can expect fresh fruits, vegetables, melons, dried fruits, nuts, and other regional specialties, alongside handcrafted items that showcase the finest traditions of Tajik folk art.
Organizers have placed special emphasis on the culinary experience. Attendees will be able to taste authentic national dishes prepared according to traditional recipes and enjoy the lively atmosphere of an Eastern bazaar, complete with colorful stalls, aromatic spices, and live music.
The fair aims to support entrepreneurs, enhance international trade and cultural ties, and promote Tajik products and crafts abroad. Organizers highlight that such events foster friendship between nations and introduce Kazakh residents to the rich cultural heritage of their regional neighbors.
The event offers visitors the chance to shop and experience the vibrant ambiance of the East without leaving Astana.
