Uzbekistan welcomed more than 10.3 million foreign visitors between January and September 2026, marking a 20.4% increase compared with the same period last year.
The number of foreign arrivals rose by approximately 1.7 million year-on-year, highlighting continued growth in the country’s tourism sector, according to UzA.
Neighboring Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan accounted for the largest shares of visitors. Russia, Afghanistan, China, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, India and Germany were also among Uzbekistan’s leading source markets.
The increase in international arrivals is expected to support the expansion of tourism-related services, bring greater international attention to Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage and contribute to the wider tourism industry.
