President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, to take part in the upcoming Regional Environmental Summit, as the Kazakh capital prepares to host a series of high-level international events.
President Rahmon will participate in the Regional Environmental Summit 2026, scheduled to take place from April 22 to 24, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The forum is expected to bring together regional leaders and global partners to address climate, water, and environmental challenges across Central Asia.
The visit is part of a packed diplomatic week in Astana involving Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Key events include an official visit by the president of Mongolia from April 20 to 23, as well as a meeting of the Council of Heads of State-Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea on April 22.
