First Deputy Head of the Tajik Export Agency Khurshed Zuhurzoda has announced that Tajikistan continues diversifying its export markets, shipping products to 50 countries worldwide.
Zuhurzoda made the remarks at a recent press conference, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
The top five export destinations include Russia, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, China, and the Netherlands.
Excluding precious metals and stones, Tajikistan’s exports reached $953.1 million, reflecting a robust 36 per cent increase ($255.1 million) compared to the same period in 2024.
Industrial exports accounted for $919.3 million, up 37.4 per cent ($250.1 million) year-on-year, signaling strong growth in manufacturing and related sectors.
Agricultural exports totaled 90,300 tons valued at $33.9 million, representing a moderate rise of 13,200 tons and $5 million over last year’s figures. However, Zuhurzoda pointed out that this remains the lowest volume compared to previous years.
The agricultural export mix was led by:
Dried fruits: $18.2 million (53.7 per cent)
Fresh fruits: $7.9 million (23.3 per cent)
Vegetables: $4.7 million (13.8 per cent)
Other agricultural goods: $3.1 million (9.2 per cent)
The Tajik Agroprom Export state enterprise facilitated shipments of apricots, cabbage, cucumbers, cauliflower, and eggplants, mainly to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye.
Official statistics reveal that Tajikistan’s total foreign trade turnover hit $4.7 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 7.2 per cent increase ($316.8 million) from the same period last year.
