Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has announced the plans to create 1.4 million jobs in five years, boosting economy and living standards.
The strategy focuses on leveraging growing workforce, supporting small businesses, handicrafts, family enterprises, and promoting employment for women and people with disabilities, especially in rural areas, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Over 200,000 jobs are already added annually, with 150,000 vocational graduates entering the labor market each year. Executive bodies are tasked with efficiently implementing the state programs to meet these ambitious targets.
The initiative reflects Tajikistan’s commitment to economic growth and improving citizens’ quality of life amid a decade of population growth and expanding human resources.
