Tajikistan’s Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Sherali Kabir, has met with Iranian Ambassador Alireza Haghighiyan to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation in industry, mining, and new technologies.
The talks highlighted Iran’s advanced industrial and technological sector and stressed the importance of regular meetings, exhibitions, and business engagement to strengthen economic ties, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
Earlier, both countries agreed to raise bilateral trade turnover to $500 million, with visa-free travel proposed to boost trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. Iranian investment in energy and transport projects in Tajikistan was also discussed as part of expanding economic collaboration.
