Dushanbe will host the 67th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council on November 20, held under Tajikistan’s chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The session will take place in a hybrid format, bringing together energy ministers of CIS member states, the Chairman of the CIS Electric Power Council’s Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the CIS, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), as well as representatives of major energy companies across the region, The Caspian Post informs via the Tajik Ministry of Energy and Water Resources.
The agenda includes discussions on strengthening practical cooperation between CIS and SCO countries, reviewing the status of the Strategy for the Development of the CIS Fuel and Energy Complex until 2035 (with projections to 2050), and matters related to chairmanship of the Coordinating Council under the CIS Electric Power Council, along with other strategic topics.
