Ashgabat Unveils Renovated “15 Years of Turkmenistan’s Independence” Park in Grand Ceremony

Ashgabat celebrated the grand opening of the renovated “15 Years of Turkmenistan’s Independence” park on September 13, with a ceremony attended by MPs, government officials, representatives of public organizations, media, and residents of all ages, including children and elders.

Located between Andalib, Galkynysh, and Gerogly avenues, the park now offers upgraded recreational and sports facilities, such as modernized playgrounds, newly constructed bike paths, equipped retail points, enhanced lighting, and improved infrastructure, providing a welcoming environment for city residents, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

The opening program featured concerts and theatrical performances, including a children’s violin ensemble, artists from the Turkmen State Puppet Theater, and appearances by popular fairy-tale characters, bringing joy to the youngest attendees.

The renovated park not only offers spaces for relaxation but also serves as a hub for cultural and community activities, hosting celebrations, concerts, and public events, strengthening social cohesion among Ashgabat’s citizens.
