Turkmen Oil Refinery Records Strong 21.7% Growth in First Half of 2025

Turkmenistan’s Seidinsky Oil Refinery processed 269,400 tons of crude oil in the first half of 2025, achieving a 21.7 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

Production included 62,700 tons of diesel fuel, 127,400 tons of gasoline, and 12,400 tons of bitumen, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.

Other sectors also showed growth: liquefied hydrocarbon gas production rose by 5.4 per cent to 12,000 tons. The Lebap Cement Plant doubled its capacity after launching its second phase last year, producing 743,600 tons of cement-an increase of nearly 239,000 tons from H1 2024-supporting the country’s construction industry.

These gains were backed by capital investments of 148.7 million manat ($42.364 million) under Turkmenistan’s national program to improve social and living conditions through 2028.

The textile sector recorded strong output as well, with cotton yarn production valued at 236.5 million manat ($67.502 million) and sewn and textile products at 386.7 million manat ($110.372 million).
