Turkmenistan Collaborates with Global Partners to Boost Youth Workforce Readiness

Turkmenistan’s delegation has participated in the International Conference on Youth Employment and Skills Development in Astana, Kazakhstan, where experts, practitioners, and government officials from Central Asia, the EU, and the Western Balkans gathered to address urgent youth employment challenges and explore innovative solutions to support young professionals entering the workforce.

The delegation included officials from the Ministries of Education, Labor and Social Protection, along with representatives from the Magtymguly Youth Organization, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

At the event, Turkmenistan underscored its key priorities, focusing on strengthening vocational and technical education, expanding mentorship programs, and improving the link between education systems and up-to-date labor market data.

Special attention was given to advancing dual learning programs, increasing practical training opportunities, and enhancing teacher training in emerging “green” and digital sectors to prepare youth for the demands of a modern labor market.

Turkmenistan’s participation represented a crucial step toward fostering regional cooperation and exchanging best practices in human capital development. The conference aimed to facilitate the effective transition of young professionals from education into employment, aligned with the evolving needs of national economies.
