Turkmenistan, Malaysia Forge New Alliance in Green Energy and AI

A delegation from Turkmenistan’s State Energy Institute has completed a working visit to Malaysia, strengthening its partnership with Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) - one of the country’s top institutions in the field of energy.

The collaboration focuses on a key priority for both nations: sustainable energy, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.

A major highlight of the visit was the Turkmen State Energy Institute's faculty members co-hosting the international IEBMC-2025 conference organized by UNITEN’s Business School. This year’s theme - “AI-Driven Strategies for Sustainable Business Growth: Aligning Innovation with Global Goals” - brought together global experts to explore how artificial intelligence can accelerate progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Turkmen State Energy Institute's lecturers contributed actively while gaining valuable international experience:

Oguljan Akmyradova (Department of Languages) joined online to discuss effective methods for developing communication skills and using digital tools - essential competencies for future energy professionals.

Ayna Nurmyradova (Department of Languages) presented green business strategies, including AI-powered tools to monitor environmental impact and reduce carbon footprints.

Participants also received opportunities to publish their research in respected scientific journals, including the Scopus-indexed Journal of Advanced Research Design, helping promote global academic exchange.

During the visit, the representatives of the Turkmen State Energy Institute and UNITEN discussed concrete steps for implementing their Memorandum of Understanding. Agreed initiatives include student and faculty exchange programs, professional development for teaching staff, and joint research projects in the energy sector.
