Turkmenistan and Russia have held inter-ministerial consultations on international information security in Moscow, focusing on a broad spectrum of bilateral and regional cooperation issues in the field.
The meeting was part of the practical implementation of the 2025-2026 Cooperation Program between the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Russia, signed in June 2025, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
Participants stressed the importance of coordinating approaches on global and regional platforms and addressed emerging challenges, including those related to artificial intelligence.
The Turkmen delegation also took part in the 19th International Forum “Partnership of State, Business, and Civil Society in Ensuring International Information Security” at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian foreign ministry.
Scheduled to run until September 18, the forum features a plenary session and four thematic sections, bringing together leading international experts to exchange insights and share best practices on key information security issues.
