Turkmenistan, Qatar Explore New Opportunities for Collaboration

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov has met with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha to discuss bilateral cooperation and international collaboration.

During the meeting, the Emir conveyed greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council), and expressed deep appreciation for Turkmenistan’s support to Qatar and its people during challenging times, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

Sheikh Tamim emphasized the strong fraternal relations between the two nations and their peoples, highlighting promising opportunities for expanding cooperation across a wide range of sectors, according to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The two sides also underscored the importance of joint interaction on the global stage, including within the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other major international platforms.
