Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Türkiye, Mekan Ishankuliyev, has met with Abdulhadi Turus, the newly appointed President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and explored opportunities to strengthen ties in education, science, youth policy, and sports.
The sides emphasized the importance of building institutional collaboration to foster deeper engagement between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.
Particular attention was given to the April visit of the YTB delegation to Turkmenistan, which marked a significant step in enhancing mutual understanding and planning joint initiatives.
The two officials also discussed plans to organize cultural and educational events in Türkiye dedicated to the upcoming 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s status as a Permanently Neutral State, underscoring the diplomatic and historical significance of this milestone.
