Turkmenistan, UNICEF Forge Ahead with New Initiatives to Support Children’s Well-Being

Turkmenistan and UNICEF are taking bold new steps to deepen their partnership, launching initiatives aimed at advancing the health, education, and overall well-being of children across the country.

Amid the opening of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Avaza, Turkmenistan has been hosting a series of bilateral meetings between government officials, international organizations, and foreign dignitaries aimed at fostering international cooperation, The Caspian Post reports per Turkmen media.

Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva, Deputy Chairperson of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers, held a key discussion with Kitty van der Heijden, Deputy Executive Director at UNICEF.

The talks centered on expanding collaborative efforts to safeguard children’s rights and improve their well-being.

Both parties reviewed ongoing joint initiatives in healthcare, quality education, and social protection, while outlining strategic steps to deepen and strengthen the partnership between Turkmenistan and UNICEF going forward.
