A new exhibition showcasing the cultural heritage of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states has opened in Beijing, featuring a special selection of artifacts from Uzbekistan. The exhibition offers a rare opportunity to explore the rich history, artistic achievements, and diverse traditions of the SCO region.
The exhibition entitled “Shining Constellation of Civilizations: Cultural Heritage of National Museums of SCO Member States” coincides with the upcoming SCO summit to be held in Tianjin, China, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
The exhibition will run at the National Museum of China until November 16.
The showcase features 220 artifacts from ten leading museums of SCO member countries. Uzbekistan is presenting 27 items from the collections of its State Museum of History and State Museum of Arts.
The exhibition highlights include rare archaeological finds, murals, examples of medieval craftsmanship, and decorative and applied arts from the 19th-20th centuries, reflecting Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage.
Organizers emphasize that the event serves as a key platform for cultural exchange, showcasing the diversity of traditions among SCO member states and illustrating their historical ties along the Great Silk Road.
