A state-of-the-art textile manufacturing and dyeing plant, Elittex, has officially opened its doors in Nurafshon, Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region, backed by an investment of $11 million.
This development highlights the ongoing expansion of Uzbekistan’s industrial sector, with modern production capacities emerging across various regions, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
The textile industry remains a strategic focus for the country, given its significant export potential, role in creating jobs, and attraction of foreign investments.
Elittex is projected to produce up to 450,000 tons of fabric annually, with the majority of its output destined for export to CIS countries. The new enterprise has already generated 70 jobs, contributing to the region’s employment growth.
According to official statistics, Nurafshon is home to 144 industrial enterprises, with total investments surpassing $172 million, reflecting the city’s growing importance as an industrial hub.
