Uzbekistan and Czech Republic have signed a package of agreements aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation following high-level talks in Tashkent.
The agreements were finalized after negotiations between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, who also approved a joint declaration focused on deepening strategic ties, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The signed documents cover a wide range of areas, including economic and industrial collaboration, science and technology, and the training of diplomatic personnel.
Both sides also agreed to launch joint projects in metrology, including the creation of a specialized laboratory to support technical standards and innovation.
In addition, Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic outlined plans to strengthen cooperation in geology and move forward with contracts for the supply of electric trains.
