Starting September 15, 2026, citizens of Uzbekistan will no longer be able to travel to Thailand under the country’s previous visa-free entry arrangement.

Under a decision by the Government of Thailand, Uzbek citizens planning to visit the country will have to obtain an entry visa in advance, Qazinform reports.

The new procedure requires travelers to complete an electronic visa application through Thailand’s official visa portal. Visa payments, meanwhile, must be made at the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow.

The change is expected to affect both Uzbek tourists and business travelers, who had previously been able to enter Thailand without obtaining a visa beforehand.

Thailand has been revising its visa policy for foreign visitors. Earlier, the country’s Cabinet approved changes affecting the 60-day visa-free entry regime for citizens of 93 countries and territories, including Kazakhstan.

For Uzbek travelers, the new rules mean that trips to Thailand will require additional preparation and visa approval before departure.
