On September 30, Tashkent will host the 2nd National Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor (TCTC) Conference in Uzbekistan.

The event will bring together government representatives, international financial institutions, development partners and the private transport and logistics sector, the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan said in a statement, The Caspian Post reports.

Co-chaired by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships, the Conference will focus on translating shared connectivity priorities into concrete investment opportunities and reforms.

Building on the TCTC and Connectivity Investors Forum held in Tashkent in November 2025 and 1st national workshop of the TCTC Coordination Platform in September 2024, the Conference will provide a platform to discuss Uzbekistan’s priorities for strengthening its role along the Trans-Caspian route and improving sustainable connectivity between Central Asia and Europe.

Discussions will focus on investment in railway and road infrastructure, the development of an efficient logistics network, digitalisation of transport and trade documents, facilitation of border-crossing procedures, and greater private sector participation.

The Conference forms part of the EU-funded TCTC Coordination Platform under the EU Global Gateway strategy, which brings together the five Central Asian countries, the European Union, international financial institutions and international partners to coordinate investments and reforms aimed at making the Corridor a sustainable, safer and faster connection between Europe and Asia. Following the Conference, its outcomes will feed into continued cooperation on priority investments and measures to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the Corridor and strengthen the strategic role of Uzbekistan in the region.
