FIFA President Arrives in Uzbekistan to Boost Football Development

Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), has arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit at the invitation of the Uzbekistan Football Association to discuss initiatives for the further development of football in the country.

The visit is also focused on reviewing the activities of the National Football Center, and attending the final match of the 2025 CAFA Nations Cup, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

At Tashkent International Airport, the FIFA delegation was welcomed by Adkham Ikramov, Minister of Sports of Uzbekistan; Otabek Umarov, First Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee and Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia; Ravshan Irmatov, First Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association; and other senior officials.

During his stay, Infantino is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with sports authorities, participate in discussions on strategic football initiatives, and visit key sports facilities across the country.
