Heroic Uzbek Rescuer Flies Home After Saving Boy in Russia

Khairullo Ibadullaev, who bravely caught a boy falling from a seventh-floor window in Saint Petersburg, Russia, has been granted a flight back to Uzbekistan.

The ticket was provided by the Migration Agency under Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek Migration Agency.

Officials visited Ibadullaev’s home in Kashkadarya Region, speaking with his wife, Gullola Safarova, and praising his heroic act as an inspiring example. Safarova shared that her husband called her from the hospital, where his arm was in a cast, explaining how he had saved the boy.

She also thanked the president of Uzbekistan for awarding Ibadullaev the “Jasorat” medal. During a video call, she inquired about the health of the rescued boy.

Ibadullaev, who has been working as a janitor in Saint Petersburg for four months, expressed gratitude for the recognition, calling the award unexpected and deeply meaningful.
