Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov has held a high-level meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss ways to deepen the historically rich and multifaceted ties between the two nations.
During the talks, the ministers highlighted the strong foundation of their relationship, rooted in a shared cultural heritage, close historical connections, and expanding economic cooperation, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
Both sides acknowledged the positive trend in growing bilateral trade and explored opportunities for further expanding cooperation across various sectors.
The ministers emphasized the significant untapped potential for enhancing their partnership in key areas of mutual interest.
“We reaffirmed the crucial role of diplomacy in promoting regional peace, stability, and sustainable development,” said Saidov.
