International Expedition Reaches Uzbekistan’s Tashkent Amid Ambitious Central Asia Tour

The international expedition “Journey to the Heart of Eurasia” reached Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the 39th day of its ambitious 50-day tour across Central Asia.

Uzbekistan is the latest country to host the diverse delegation, which has already traveled through Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, covering nearly 7,000 kilometers, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The expedition team comprises scientists, journalists, bloggers, and cultural figures focused on producing comprehensive reports on business, media, science, and culture in the region. Their mission also includes fostering dialogue about future collaborative projects.

The delegation’s arrival in Tashkent was marked by a symbolic tree-planting ceremony at Dostlik Park (Friendship Park), where five trees were planted to symbolize peace and cooperation. The group also honored the memory of fallen heroes by laying flowers at the Brotherly Cemetery memorial.

A productive business meeting followed at the Russian Science and Culture Center, where participants shared their findings and impressions to date and discussed plans for the remaining leg of their journey.
