A delegation led by Ali Muhammad Khan, Head of the Islamic Development Bank’s (IsDB) Regional Hub Almaty, has met with Uzbek Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Umurzakov to discuss strengthening cooperation and advancing joint initiatives.
The meeting included key representatives such as Alibek Kazangapov, Project Management Specialist at the IsDB Regional Hub Almaty, and Khusan Khasanov, IsDB’s field representative in Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the discussions, the parties focused on expanding mutually beneficial partnerships, improving the effectiveness of ongoing projects, and emphasizing support for transport and road infrastructure development, sustainable rural growth, and a broader portfolio of socially and economically impactful initiatives.
The progress of flagship joint programs-Sustainable Rural Development, Integrated Rural Development, and Strengthening Economic Resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SERVE)-was thoroughly reviewed.
Both sides committed to enhancing systematic cooperation, accelerating joint efforts to achieve shared objectives, and fostering ongoing dialogue and exchange of expertise.
