Japan will provide Uzbekistan with 90 modern gas distribution stations to help upgrade the country’s gas supply infrastructure.
The equipment is valued at approximately $3 million, according to Uzbekistan’s Hududgazta’minot.
The project is being implemented as part of long-term cooperation between the Uzbek gas company and Japan’s ITO Corporation.
The Japanese side plans to provide the equipment to Uzbekistan free of charge as a grant by the end of this year.
Specialists are currently surveying the areas where the new gas distribution stations are expected to be installed. The assessments include the technical condition of existing gas networks, suitable locations for the equipment and conditions for its safe commissioning.
Uzbek and Japanese experts are also working together to finalize the technical requirements and recommendations needed for installation.
The project is expected to help stabilize gas pressure in the regions, improve the reliability of gas supplies and make more efficient use of energy resources.
The installation of modern gas distribution stations should also strengthen the ability to provide consumers with a stable and safe supply of natural gas.
The initiative is part of broader Uzbekistan-Japan cooperation aimed at modernizing the country’s gas infrastructure and introducing modern technologies.
