At the invitation of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov arrived in Uzbekistan on November 15 for a working visit to attend the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
At Tashkent-Humo International Airport, the distinguished guest was welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and other officials, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.
In the city of Tashkent, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be held.
The event’s agenda includes strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia and implementing joint projects and initiatives in priority areas. Views will be exchanged on pressing regional and international issues.
The initiative to hold regular consultative meetings among the region’s heads of state was put forward by the Leader of Uzbekistan at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in September 2017.
