President Mirziyoyev Arrives in Brussels to Strengthen Uzbekistan–EU Partnership

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in the Belgian capital for an official visit aimed at deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.

At Brussels International Airport, the Uzbek leader was welcomed by Eduards Stiprais, the EU’s Special Representative for Central Asia, along with other European officials, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

On October 24, President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to hold high-level talks with European Council President António Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and King Philippe of Belgium.

A key highlight of the visit will be the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) between Uzbekistan and the EU - a milestone expected to expand collaboration in trade, investment, and sustainable development.

The Uzbek leader will also join a roundtable discussion with executives from leading European companies and financial institutions, showcasing Uzbekistan’s growing economic potential and commitment to closer engagement with Europe.
