On July 31, 2025, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with Ahmad Abdullah Al-Jufairi, the Executive Chairman of the Qatar investment company Protocol Capital Group.
Protocol Capital Group is one of Qatar's leading investment companies, managing assets worth over $4 billion, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.
The company has implemented more than a thousand projects in more than 34 countries in such areas as real estate, the oil and gas industry, reservoirs and air cooling systems, the production of building materials and steel, as well as pharmaceuticals.
During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in a number of key sectors of the economy. The Qatari side was presented with details of Uzbekistan's favorable investment climate and promising projects proposed for joint implementation.
Ahmad Al-Jufairi noted the high potential for partnership development and expressed interest in investing in projects in the fields of energy, housing, transport, logistics and information technology.
The willingness to further explore areas of cooperation and develop specific proposals that promote sustainable growth, digitalization and infrastructure development was emphasized.
