A dramatic incident occurred at the Tashkent Metro, Uzbekistan, after a passenger fell onto the tracks at the Gafur Gulom metro station during evening rush hours.

The incident took place when a woman accidentally fell onto the rails just as a train was approaching, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Thanks to the quick reaction of the train operator, the metro was brought to an emergency stop, preventing what could have been a serious accident.

The driver followed all safety protocols and managed to halt the train in time.

Preliminary reports indicate that the woman did not suffer serious injuries. She was examined on site and later taken to a medical facility for further evaluation.
