Samarkand Airport Launches New Charter Flights to Madinah

Uzbekistan's Samarkand International Airport has launched new regular charter flights to Madinah in partnership with AIR MARAKANDA and Fly Khiva Airways, bringing added convenience for travelers.

The inaugural flight was celebrated in a festive atmosphere, complete with a passenger reception and a warm send-off from families and friends, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

Earlier in April, AIR MARAKANDA officially introduced the crew of the new carrier, highlighting the importance of the partnership in expanding Samarkand’s flight network.

The first charter flight departed at 04:35 (GMT+5) on a Boeing 757-300, carrying 224 passengers to Madinah.

Direct weekly flights on the Samarkand-Madinah route will now operate every Saturday, with a total flight time of 4 hours and 50 minutes.
