Tashkent Pharma Agency Strengthens Ties with Japanese Firms

During a working visit to Japan, the management of the Uzbekistan Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency has held key meetings with government and private sector representatives.

Among them are JETRO President Susumu Kataoka, the Nara Pharmaceutical Cooperative Association, and leaders of Yamato Godo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, Shinsei Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd, Marudai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd and Iskra Industry Co., Ltd., The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Discussions focused on bilateral cooperation in education, research, and investment, culminating in the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

The agency representatives also met with Unical Co., Ltd and E+craftman Co., Ltd, presenting the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster project. Talks covered joint research initiatives, pharmaceutical education programs, and production of dietary supplements and vitamins, including highly bioavailable calcium-enriched products.

The visit concluded with agreements to further expand collaboration and implement joint projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
