An American company is preparing to recruit seasonal agricultural workers from Uzbekistan as part of a new initiative aimed at expanding legal employment opportunities in the United States.

Head Honchos is exploring plans to hire Uzbek citizens for seasonal farm work under the US H-2A visa program. As part of the effort, the company's president, Todd Miller, is scheduled to visit Uzbekistan in August for talks with government officials and industry representatives, The Caspian Post reports via Dunyo.

The visit has been organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States as part of broader efforts to increase legal labor migration pathways and simplify participation in the H-2A seasonal agricultural visa program.

During the visit, the parties are expected to discuss the recruitment of Uzbek workers for seasonal jobs on US farms and sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Uzbek side and Head Honchos.

The proposed agreement will focus on training workers to meet the requirements of American employers, providing professional skills development, and expanding access to legal employment opportunities in the United States through the H-2A visa program.

The US delegation will also travel to Tashkent, the Bukhara region, and the Fergana region to visit agricultural enterprises, farms, and other representatives of Uzbekistan's farming sector.

According to the Uzbek Embassy, cooperation under the H-2A program is intended to improve recruitment procedures while creating more safe and legal seasonal employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens in the United States.
